Today’s posting is completely occasional.
And that’s because I returned yesterday from Szczawnica in Poland.
It was my long-awaited vacation after an extremely busy year. Mountains are the only place where I can really rest. There are many things that attract me. Fresh air, beautiful views and grilled “oscypek” (a smoked cheese made of salted sheep milk) with cranberries.
Last year in Karpacz I could see a snow only on the postcards.
Now, with my friends, we came at the right moment.
The temperature, a few degrees below zero and roughly 20 cm. of snow. Thus, I was able to spend the time most actively- on the hill-side.
There was something to watch.
As you can see the routes were intensively snowed.
That was my another season on the surfboard. I tried a few new tricks… and the strength of the net placed around the route. To the delight of my friends, I could not free myself.
Well, who doesn’t risk, never gets to drink champagne 🙂
After an intense struggle with gravity a time for “evening meal” came.
Here’s an interesting invention to maintain the temperature of mulled wine.
As I checked, you can buy a similar set on Allegro (polish equivalent of ebay).
If you are looking for a proven mountain village I would recommend you Szczawnica.
You will find there many climate places. Skiing infrastructure is at high level. There are also great hiking routes.
For example, on one side the Dunajec flows and on the other you can see a high, almost vertical mountainsides.
That makes an impression!
I recharged my batteries.
In the new year I will go with optimism and many ideas.
And you’ll find out about it soon.
Yours sincerely in the new year 🙂
